Lebanon’s Most Exotic Trail

Located in the Valleys of Baskinta, this trail merges together Four different landscapes.
– Farm Lands
– Tropical Rainforest
– Jungle with a Waterfall
– Pine Forest

Things I packed for this hike:
1- 1 Liter of water (Minimum)
2- Extra pair of socks, underwear, shorts, and a tshirt
3- My Swimsuit (You can hike wearing it if you have no problem touching plants)
4- First aid kit
5- Headlamp, knife, ropes, hiking sticks, lighter, light wind jacket (Not necessary but basic hiking must haves)

Mostly known as the Amazon trail, this beautiful location will give any hiker a challenging experience filled with beautiful scenery, plants, and a freezing cold plunge at the end of a beautiful waterfall that runs all year long. If you’re coming from beirut, it will take you around an hour to get to the starting point (Consider coming in the morning to have a delicious Manoushe at Krikor or Saj Charbel).

I personally hiked this trail over 7 times this year alone and would do it again at any given moment. The level of fun, adrenaline, and sense of achievement that you get from this hike is surreal! As much as it is muddy, bushy, and definitely a bit painful because of all the sharp plants, this trail has a modest distance of 3.7 Kilometers for the whole hike. If you take no breaks and keep a steady pace, it will take you around 40 minutes to get to the waterfall which is the climax of the hike and the resting point (Swimming, photos, snacks) and around 25 minutes of extreme downhill to go back!
